Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime show definitely goes down in history as one of the best, and one of the most crowd-pleasing. As the rapper performed hit after hit, such as ‘HUMBLE’, ‘DNA”, ‘TV OFF’ and more, the audience at Caesars Superdome sang along with him. Lamar also had SZA showing up as a special guest and performed their collaborative hit ‘All the Stars’.
Kendrick Lamar hyped up the crowd even more as he sang ‘Not Like Us’, which is a direct diss at rapper Drake. Lamar has several more songs dissing Drake, including ‘Meet the Grahams’. In ‘Not Like Us’, Lamar highlights Drake’s alleged pedophilia, and also that he has a second kid. Of course, Drake has also responded with diss tracks of his own.
“What did we just witness… Kendrick just murdered Drake in front of 120 MILLION PEOPLE!!!!!” Emmanuel Acho, former football player, tweeted through his X account.

Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show had the aim of sending out a message of moving people against anti-black hate and violence against African Americans. Emmanuel Acho’s tweet describing Lamar’s halftime show simply echoed the sentiment that most people were feeling. Still, the halftime show was definitely electric and will stay imprinted on people’s minds long after the Super Bowl is over.

Kendrick Lamar’s Halftime Show Performer Waves Palestinian Flag
Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show had its fill of drama, when a performer of his 400-member crew waved a Palestinian and Sudanese flag together towards the end of the performance. On the flags, the words ‘Sudan’ and ‘Gaza’ could be seen.

The security personnel at the Super Bowl immediately detained the protester. The NFL has also gone on to bane the person from all NFL stadiums and events for life. The protester had apparently hidden the flags on his person and the management did not know this until he was apprehended after displaying them.
In videos showing the performance, the protester can be seen holding up the flag during the performance of the song ‘TV Off’. He then jumped off the stage and ran around for a few seconds before he was detained by the security personnel. He was then walked off the field by security before the league announced that he is being banned for life.

The protester’s actions come one day after Israel and Hamas continued their ceasefire and exchanged more prisoners from each side. The ceasefire has been holding up for a week, and will allow more aid to reach citizens in Gaza.
