The Kansas City Chiefs bounced back from their first loss of the season last week and got the win against the Carolina Panthers in a close win on the last play. The Chiefs took the lead with no time remaining in their 30-27 win, and while there was a lot to love from in that game from many Chiefs’ players, there is a real concern for this team as they enter the final stretch of the regular season.
Kansas City Chiefs Look More Beatable than Ever

While the Chiefs have only one loss on their record this season, they have played to their competition and have just barely won many of their games. The scary part for them is that they are winning close games against the worst teams in the NFL.
The good thing for this team is that Patrick Mahomes looks back to his regular ways since the addition of Deandre Hopkins, but in their close win on Sunday, their defense looked awful against Bryce Young and the Panthers. Just as the offense is starting to get going, their top defense is looking rather mediocre in the last couple of games.
Bryce was thought of as one of the biggest busts in the history of the NFL, but he looked fantastic against one of the best defenses in football this year. This team is in real trouble when they will have to play three or four playoff teams in a row to get that third straight Super Bowl, and they do not look like they can do that.

This team has gotten extremely lucky in many of their wins so far this season, whether it be from late game calls or no calls, or one big play that went in their favor. Now, knowing the Chiefs and the way the game is called, they can certainly benefit from that luck in the playoffs as well, as they have in many previous playoff runs, but they have zero margin for error in any game in the postseason.
If this team goes down by two touchdowns in the playoffs, they do not look like the team that can come back from that anymore. They have been winning all their games by keeping things close and making the right plays at the end of the game to win. But they look the most beatable they ever have in the Mhaomes era, and just as the offense is getting going, their defense looks to be sliding.
Believe it or not, that was only the second game this season that the Chiefs put up 30 points, and the first one came in an overtime matchup. So this team is not scoring 30 points at will, at all. They have relied heavily on their top defense to get the job done in 805 of their games so far. When they have to face three or four playoff teams in a row, they will have zero room for any mistakes or they will be sent packing.
This is very reminiscent of the Philadelphia Eagles last season. They started the year 10-0 but there were clear issues for the team, and they ended up getting bounced in their first playoff game. While the Chiefs are still the favorite to make the Super Bowl, and they should be, this year, there is no room for any mistakes or they can lose to literally anyone in the league.
They have barely beaten the Denver Broncos and the Panthers, and even thought they kept the game close with Buffalo, that could’ve been a smack down. If this team makes any mistakes in the post-season they will be sent packing.
