The Kansas City Chiefs just had an epic Super Bowl LVIII win against the San Francisco 49ers. As you can imagine, Chiefs TE Travis Kelce got emotional after the victory. During a postgame speech, he revealed what he plans to do next season. Read below to find out what that is.
Travis Kelce Plans on Returning
While holding the Lombardi Trophy, Kelce could not help but look ahead to next season. He made it quite clear that his job was not done here despite the retirement rumors. Here is what he had to say:
“See y’all next year.” -Travis Kelce
That quote does not leave much for interpretation. Despite being 34 years old and having won the Super Bowl the last two seasons, Kelce intends to play at least one more season.
Kansas City Chiefs Going for History
You can argue a big reason why Kelce is returning is to try to make NFL history. No team has ever won the Super Bowl three years in a row. Next season, the Kansas City Chiefs can attempt to be first team to ever do this.
If that happens, Kelce would be part of quite a historic roster. Plus, Kelce emphasized that the Chiefs were going for this during the Lombardi Trophy presentation. Considering the Chiefs just won their second straight Super Bowl title minutes before that speech, it is a good sign as to how serious they are about making NFL history.

Kansas city chiefs have already won the last 3 super bowls. 2022 won against Cincinnati Bengals, 2023 won against the Philadelphia eagles, 2024 won against San Francisco 49ers.. they have already made history!!!
2022 Cincinnati lost to LA
Cincinnati and K.C. are in the same conference, there is no way to play each other in the super bowl. Besides K.C. didn’t make it to the super bowl in 22, it was Cincinnati and The Rams and the Rams won..
They won in 2022 and now 2023! Go CHIEFS!! Let’s take 2024 too !!!
They may have had the season in 2023… but the SuperBowl was in 2024!
KC Chiefs are the 2024 SuperBowl Champions
Cincinnati went to Super Bowl in 2021 and lost to the Los Angeles Rams. The Chiefs won the Superbowl in 2022 and 2023!

He’s not a bad looking guy. Why does he have such a homely gf? Homely, plus a bad haircut! Red lipstick brings your eyes down away from those horrid bangs. I don’t know how he keeps a straight face when looking at her 😝
boring, lazy, no one cares about your depression. this is footbal covo-wake up
Uh huh. If you looked half as good as she does you could win the Miss Universe competition.
A threepeat would be even better.
The Kansas city chiefs are not the first team to attempt to three peat.
The Green Bay packers under Vince Lombardi won the first 2 super bowls ever. Super bowl l& super bowl ll.
. This has been so negative and how am I going to enjoy future games/celebrations wwith my children looking for role models.
Kelce is a disrespectful, out of control, drunken idiot. Role model… don’t think so. He should have been benched for touching his coach in a “heated” moment. It took his brother calling him out for him to apologize… fake! Just waiting for your mic’d up to comments to coach to be leaked publicly. Can’t wait to hear how you speak to a coach you love and admire so much. Get real.
Over-reacting
