The Kansas City Chiefs are on their way to Maryland to play the Baltimore Ravens this upcoming weekend in the AFC Championship game. They defeated the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night 27-24, knocking Buffalo out of playoff contention once again. However, The Chiefs could have a problem on their hands this coming weekend as one of their star players could miss the rest of the postseason after suffering a pectoral injury.
Chiefs’ All-Pro guard Joe Thuney will undergo an MRI on Monday for the pectoral injury he suffered during Kansas City’s Divisional Playoff win over Buffalo.

Kansas City Chiefs Could Lose Star Player
Kansas City’s All-Pro guard Joe Thuney will undergo an MRI today to determine whether or not he suffered the injury, but it does not look good for him according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Thuney has been with the Chiefs since 2021 after coming over from the New England Patriots, and he has been one of the best offensive linemen in the league.
Losing a player like Thuney could be devastating for the Chiefs as they will be going against the Ravens’ pass rush, which has been one of if not the best in the league at getting pressure on the quarterback. Patrick Mahomes should have his work cut out for him regardless, but missing a key piece like Thuney could mean a rough day for the Chiefs quarterback.
Baltimore Ravens Defense
The Ravens have the best defense in the NFL this season and lead in almost every category. Baltimore amounted to 60 sacks this year, which leads the league by three, with the Chiefs trailing right behind them. If this Ravens team can put the pressure on Mahomes like they have on almost every single quarterback that they have played this season, Baltimore should have no issue coming away with the win.
Will Thuney Be Able To Play?
As for Thuney, his status remains up in the air as he will be getting an MRI done on Monday to determine the severity of his injury. Do you think that Thuney will miss the rest of the postseason with a pectoral injury, or will he be able to go this weekend and attempt to help his team get the victory to advance to the Super Bowl?
