Kansas City Chiefs: Photo Of Patrick Mahomes & Ref Before Game Has Fans Convinced NFL Rigged

The Kansas City Chiefs are sitting at (3-0) and once again, look like they are on the path to win their third-straight Super Bowl, a feat that has never happened in the modern NFL.

Over the last few years, the Chiefs have emerged as the villain of the NFL, similar to how the Patriots dynasty ignited hate from other team’s fans for so long.

But the 2024 Chiefs are a much different story than the Patriots under Bill Belichick with Tom Brady at QB.

Belichick did everything in his power to keep his team out of the spotlight — and minus Tom Brady’s growing celebrity as each year passed which ended up with him marrying a super model — there weren’t many storylines outside of the football on the field.

The Kansas City Chiefs? From Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, to Harrison Buker’s controversial speech over the summer and Patrick Mahomes’ wife publicly supporting Donald Trump, there are multiple storylines that both sports and culture media follow off the field.

Mahomes hasn’t been outstanding after three games. The Chiefs’ QB has 5 touchdowns and 4 interceptions with a QBR of 51.8, which is 18th in the league right now.

The Chiefs entered Sunday night’s game against the Falcons with the 29th defense in the NFL, but KC game up big in the win vs. Atlanta, holding the home team to 311 yards of total offense and just 3-of-9 on third down. Kansas City also sacked Kirk Cousins twice and forced an interception.

Most NFL fans would think the Chiefs offense, defense and special teams were the only units responsible for helping them win, but there are widespread theories that the referees are purposefully missing blatant calls in an effort for KC to win and repeat yet again. People believe the NFL knows the money that comes with Taylor Swift, Kelce, Mahomes and even Butker, so the league is rigged in favor of the Chiefs.

There’s no doubt the referees missed a blatant pass inference call that would have given the Falcons a first down on the one-yard-line with roughly four minute remaining. If it was called and Atlanta punched it in — which would have been highly likely — the Falcons would have had a 2-point lead and a solid chance to win the game based on how their defense played all night.

Cousins targeted tight end Kyle Pitts in the end zone, and Pitts was first held as he was in the middle of his route, but once he beat the defender, the Chiefs DB blanketed the Falcons’ star TE, He wrapped two hands around him with his back to the ball before it even got to Pitts.

This led to NFL fans taking to social media convinced the NFL is rigged in favor of KC.

There was also an obvious missed facemask penalty against the Kansas City Chiefs  on Ray-Ray McCloud III following a big fourth-quarter run: These blatant misses have led to NFL fan detectives analyzing a photo that emerged of Mahomes casually chatting with a referee before Sunday night’s game.

It’s clear to see why fans are lashing out at the defending Super Bowl champions, but any objective person who watched the game saw a few questionable calls in favor of the Falcons on their final drive of the game.

It’s an easy narrative to think the NFL is somehow rigging the league in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs, but it’s highly improbable that’s actually the case. Mahomes talking to a ref before a game likely happens all the time, someone just happened to snag a photo this time.
