The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens by the length of Isaiah Likely‘s toe on Thursday night. Clinging to a 27-20 lead in the game’s final seconds, the Chiefs escaped overtime or a potential loss on a two-point conversion when Likely, one of the Ravens’ tight ends, came down with a would-be touchdown with the tip of his toe out of bounds in the end zone.
Of course, Likely’s feet were a big topic of conversation following the game. Before and during the game, though, the presence of Taylor Swift was highly discussed. The 14-time Grammy Award winner, of course, is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Since she is on a break from her Eras Tour, which will conclude in North America later this year, Swift was able to make it to the first game of the season.
Taylor Swift Was Present at 13 Kansas City Chiefs Games Last Year
Swift and Kelce made their relationship public last September when the international popstar attended Kansas City’s Week Two game against the Chicago Bears. In total, Swift attended 10 regular season games, both at home and on the road, as well as the Chiefs’ three postseason games (including the Super Bowl).
The relationship between the All-Pro tight end and arguably the most popular entertainer on the planet gave the NFL a boost in ratings as millions of Swift’s fans started following football. The AFC Championship Game, which was also against the Ravens, generated 55 million viewers, a record for any NFL conference championship.
While many fans are enjoying the effect that Swift and Kelce’s relationship has had on their households (daughters watching games with their dads), others are not so fond of the attention that they get.
Indeed, there are many people looking to break any news regarding Kelce and Swift, which is how the public found out how they celebrated after the game on Thursday.
Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Went Out to a Local Pizzeria After the Game
Since the game ended so late on Thursday night, Kelce and Swift reportedly waited until Friday to fly off to Brooklyn, New York where they were seen out on the town.
According to TMZ, “The pop superstar and her Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend sank their teeth into yummy pizza and/or doughy calzones – the only two food items on the menu — at Lucali restaurant in the borough’s leafy Carroll Gardens.”
It is not uncommon for anyone to really go out and enjoy pizza after a game or to celebrate the end of the work week on a Friday night.
Must be nice, though, to be able to fly halfway across the country to do it.
