The Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens are kicking off the 2024 NFL season tonight in a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship Game. Of course, one of the biggest storylines, whether people like it or not, is if Taylor Swift, the 14-time Grammy Award winning popstar, will be in attendance. Swift, as everyone knows by now, is dating All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce.
Last season, Kelce and Swift made their relationship public when the international popstar showed up to Kansas City’s Week Two victory over the Chicago Bears. In total, Swift attended 13 Chiefs games last year including all of the NFL Playoff games and the Super Bowl.

Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce Addresses Being Called Taylor Swift’s Arm Candy
Earlier today, CBS Mornings aired a pre-recorded interview with Kelce as part of the network’s NFL kickoff festivities. During his interview, in which he is wearing a gladiator costume (the interview was filmed on a Pepsi commercial set), Kelce addressed what it is like being Taylor Swift’s arm candy.

One of those gladiators is three-time Super Bowl champ @tkelce. He told @jamieyuccas about preparing for the new season, his whirlwind summer with Taylor Swift and how his family is handling the spotlight. pic.twitter.com/8KBLXoAzDb

“It’s the life I chose, I guess,” Kelce said. “I have fun with it.”
“It comes with the territory of wanting to do fun activities like this and signing up for cool sponsorships like this and endorsements.”
In other words, he does not mind it one bit. In fact, no one in his family is complaining about their own new-found fame either. Kelce said, “Everyone’s loving it. Mama Kelce is having so much fun. I think my dad is slowly getting more comfortable with it, and Jason has always been a pro at it.”
Swift was often seen sitting with Kelce’s family in a suite during games.
Kelce certainly has seen his star rise and opportunities grow as a result of his relationship with Swift. Recently, his “New Heights” podcast, which he hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, signed a $100 million deal with Amazon.
As noted above, the interview with Kelce that aired this morning was filmed on set of a Pepsi commercial. It is not hard to imagine that the All-Pro tight end is probably earning more money now from his endorsements than he is from his NFL contract.
