The Kansas City Chiefs have put together a very busy offseason so far.
Among the moves that the two-time defend champions made this year were re-signing Chris Jones, trading L’Jarius Sneed, signing Marquise Brown, and draft Xavier Worthy. There were other moves, but those are a handful of the ones that stand out the most.
Could they still be open for business on the trade market?
Arrowhead Addict recently suggested a blockbuster trade between the Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. They have Kansas City acquiring Brandon Aiyuk in exchange for a 2025 First-Round Pick, a 2026 Third-Round Pick, and wide receiver Skyy Moore.
This is the kind of trade that would shake the entire landscape of the NFL.
Looking At A Kansas City Chiefs Trade For Brandon Aiyuk
Aiyuk has been locked into a contract situation with the 49ers all offseason long. The two sides have seemingly not made progress towards a deal.
That has led some to believe that San Francisco could look to trade him. Or, they could pay up to keep him long-term and then pivot to trading Deebo Samuel. It seems likely that one of the two wideouts will be gone by next season.
If the Kansas City Chiefs were to acquire Aiyuk, their offense would be nearly unstoppable.
Can you imagine an offense of Patrick Mahomes, Isiah Pacheco, Travis Kelce, Brandon Aiyuk, Marquise Brown, and Xavier Worthy? No defense would be able to stop them.
During the 2023 season with the 49ers, Aiyuk ended up catching 75 passes for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns. Those numbers show how much of an impact he can make. Aiyuk has truly developed into being a legitimate No. 1 wideout and a star at the position.
While the Kansas City Chiefs do not need to swing this kind of trade, they are always interested in adding weapons for Mahomes. Aiyuk would easily become the best wideout on the roster and would help the effort to win a third straight Super Bowl immensely.
It seems unlikely that the 49ers would be willing to trade Aiyuk to the Chiefs. However, if they were open to it, this would be a great move for Kansas City.
