For football fans, it was a highly anticipated game after over six long months without professional football. Her relationship with Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce has dominated headlines ever since the pair made the fact that they are dating public, and her presence at Chiefs games has become a major topic of conversation.
As such, the absence of Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Patrick Mahomes, in Swift’s suite on Thursday night raised some eyebrows.

Last season, Swift and Brittany were frequently seen sitting together during Chiefs games. The fact that they did not sit together during Week One of this season led some to believe that the two had a disagreement.
The nature of this supposed tiff was political, as Mahomes recently lashed out at fans on social media who were criticizing her for liking and reposting messages from former United States President Donald Trump. “To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood,” she posted on Instagram. “There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”
Former President Trump publicly expressed his gratitude to the Mahomes’ for their support as he runs for office again.
Fans surmised that Swift, who has supported Democratic candidates in the past, had a falling out with Mahomes over their differences in opinion when it comes to politics.

According to an inside source, the reason Swift and Mahomes did not sit together had nothing to do with politics. What is more, the two are still good friends despite their political differences.
The source told The U.S. Sun that, “They are very good friends and they were so excited to go to the game, but they had different plans as it happens sometimes.
“Brittany is a family woman, and Taylor likes to enjoy the game sometimes like it’s a party. They felt like they were in a different vibe for the first game of the season.
“They did hang out for a bit before and after the game while waiting for Patrick and Travis. But Brittany preferred for the first game of the season to be in a suite with family and the kid, in a bit more of a ‘low key’ vibe.
“Taylor wanted more of a ‘party and drinks vibe’ for the game and enjoy it differently. There are absolutely zero tensions between them, they love and respect each other a lot, they were just wanting a different kind of vibe for the first game of the season at home.”
As one can see, Mahomes preferred to watch the game with her own family in a quieter setting while Swift wanted a more thrilling setting. This is understandable as Mahomes has young children and the game was played later at night.
It sounds like fans will see the pair sitting together soon, perhaps during games that start in the early afternoon.
