The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to do something that no team in NFL history has ever done: win three consecutive Super Bowls. Obviously, winning just one Super Bowl is hard enough. Numerous Hall of Fame coaches and players have finished their careers without winning one at all. Several more have only won one.
It takes a special team and coach to be able to become a dynasty in the NFL, and the Chiefs certainly are one already with three Super Bowl wins in the last five years. However, they could set themselves in rarified company if they were to take home the Lombardi Trophy again this year.
Only the Green Bay Packers franchise has won three consecutive NFL Championships (something they accomplished twice). The second of these three-peats included the first two Super Bowls, the first of which was won against Kansas City.
Former New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick Has Doubts the Kansas City Chiefs Can Win a Third Straight Super Bowl

When speaking on the Pat McAfee Show on Monday, six-time Super Bowl champion and former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick laid out the reasons why he has doubts that Kansas City will be able to win a third-consecutive title.
“It’s tough to win three Super Bowls in a row but if anybody can do it it’s the Chiefs..
Andy Reid will have them ready to go and I think they’ll score more than they did last year”

“Overall, as a team, run defense, turnovers, that’s an area they’re going to want to improve in.I just think it’s gonna be tough this year. They’re a good team, don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that. I just think this third year, for it all to fall into place three years in a row, is tough. If anybody can do it, it’s probably Kansas City, but it won’t be easy. It won’t be easy.
“I’m not sure how tough the AFC West is gonna be, but in the end, I think they’re gonna have some tough opponents through the course of the season and the playoffs. But Andy will have them ready to go. I think they’ll maybe score more than they did last year. We’ll see if they can hold up defensively. They lost a couple of good coverage players, obviously Sneed. We’ll see how all that comes together.”
As Belichick notes, the Chiefs are currently the only team that is currently built for and has established championship-level success consistently over the last few years. He also mentions that Coach Reid will have his team as ready as possible for the season.
But it will be hard.
The Kansas City Chiefs Are Already One of Just a Few Teams to Win Back-to-Back Super Bowls

Only a few teams have won two Super Bowls in a row. They are:
- Green Bay Packers (Super Bowl I & II)
- Miami Dolphins (Super Bowl VII & VIII)
- Pittsburgh Steelers (Super Bowl IX & X)
- Pittsburgh Steelers (Super Bowl XIII & XIV)
- San Francisco 49ers (Super Bowl XXIII & XXIV)
- Dallas Cowboys (Super Bowl XXVII & XXVIII)
- Denver Broncos (Super Bowl XXXII & XXXIII)
- New England Patriots (Super Bowl XXXVIII & XXXIX)
- Kansas City Chiefs (Super Bowl LVII & LVIII)
