It’s always tough to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in large part because they have Patrick Mahomes, who’s already built a Pro Football Hall of Fame-worthy resume before he could even turn 30 years old.
He often finds a way to rattle opposing defenses, and it’s something that former Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Janarius Robinson can attest to. But going after Mahomes twice each season is no longer a problem for him after jumping to the Chiefs via a one-year contract worth $1.1 million contract.
It is a relief for Robinson that he’s now on the same side as the best quarterback in the AFC West division at least.
“It’ll be a pleasure to be on the good side of things now,” Robinson shared while talking to some media members (h/t Hayley Lewis of Bleacher Report).
Will Robinson shine with the Kansas City Chiefs?

The 25-year-old Robinson projects to be a depth piece for Steve Spagnuolo’s defense. He did not exactly impress on the field during his two years with the Raiders, as he only had a total of 1.5 sacks, 13 combined tackles, four quarterback hits and a pass defended through 16 games with just a start.
In 2024, the former Florida State Seminoles defensive end only received a Pro Football Focus overall grade of 42.6. But perhaps a change in scenery and being in a winning environment will help Robinson unlock more of his potential, as he must have space in his ceiling left, having played in only a couple of years so far in the NFL.
