The Kansas City Chiefs are the lone undefeated team remaining in the NFL with a perfect 9-0 record. A great deal of the news surrounding them so far this season has been in regard to their ability to win in unconventional ways without many of their key pass catchers. Of course, Travis Kelce has often been in the headlines because of his relationship with 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift.
Indeed, Kelce and the Chiefs have dominated news both on and off the field for months. Kicker Harrison Butker, for example, made waves during the offseason due to controversial comments that he made during a commencement speech at Benedictine College. Patrick Mahomes, a three-time Super Bowl MVP, has everything he says the media (and on the field) dissected by fans on social media.
Kansas City Chiefs Stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s Homes Were Burglarized a Month Ago
Recently, it was reported that both Kelce and Mahomes were the victims of home burglaries right before their October 7 Monday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints:
“Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s Kansas City-area houses were burglarized last month TMZ Sports has learned.
“According to Cass County Sheriff’s Office documents we obtained, the burglary at Mahomes’ extravagant Belton, Missouri estate was reported to cops at around midnight on Oct. 6.
“Sources familiar with the situation tell us Kelce’s Leawood, Kansas mansion was broken into just hours later … on Oct. 7 — the same day the Chiefs took on the Saints in a “Monday Night Football” matchup at Arrowhead Stadium.”
According to the report, $20,000 in cash was stolen from Kelce’s home.
There are no details on what was stolen from Mahomes’ house.
The FBI Is Investigating the Burglaries at the Homes of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce
Per a new report by TMZ (via Total Sports Pro):
“A source told TMZ that the FBI’s involvement in the burglaries would lend credence to the idea that the crimes could involve ‘organized crime crossing state lines.'”
The report states that the FBI is looking at break-ins in neighborhoods near the two Chiefs stars’ homes as there is suspicion that they might be connected to a larger crime spree.
Hopefully they are able to identify the perpetrators and get the stolen goods back.
