How will the Kansas City Chiefs upgrade their roster in hopes of securing a third consecutive Super Bowl championship?
Former NFL general manager turned ESPN analyst, Mike Tannenbaum revealed his latest 2024 NFL mock draft as we approach under one month until next month’s annual event. In his latest mock, Tannenbaum had the back-to-back defending Super Bowl champions adding some protection around franchise signal caller, Patrick Mahomes.
“The defending Super Bowl champs could use a young ascending offensive tackle, especially since Donovan Smith is a free agent and Jawaan Taylor struggled with penalties last season. Morgan has prototypical size at 6-foot-5 and 311 pounds, displays the footspeed to mirror and redirect and comes with valuable experience (37 starts under his belt). But his arms are a bit short at 32⅞ inches, and he needs to get stronger in his lower body.”
Kansas City Chiefs’ Continued Their Dynasty in 2023
Fresh-off their 2022 Super Bowl Championship season, the Kansas City Chiefs were locked and loaded for another title surge in 2023. However, everything didn’t go as planned to kick-off their campaign this past season. Patrick Mahomes didn’t have his usual offensive weaponry and his one constant, Travis Kelce had a riddled injury start to the season. This time, the defense stepped up and for the first-time in his career, Mahomes and the offense just had to be good enough in order to win it all. Mahomes and the offense did just that while the defense continued to dominate, which led to a second-straight season ending with Andy Reid’s squad lifting the coveted Lombardi Trophy.
