The Kansas City Chiefs entered free agency with the need for an outside cornerback to complement elite All-Pro Trent McDuffie. Jaylen Watson began the year as the starting corner but suffered a significant fractured tibia and fibula in Week 7. Watson returned for the playoffs but was rusty and a liability in pass coverage.

Kansas City Chiefs set to sign underrated corner to 2-year deal

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Chiefs are set to sign Kristian Fulton to a multi-year deal. As Rapoport points out, the deal is for two years and is worth $20 million, worth up to $20.5 million, and $15 million fully guaranteed. Fulton turns 27 in September and has plenty of upside.
The newcomer had a solid 2024 season with Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Chargers signed Kristian Fulton to a one-year, $3.125 million “prove it deal.” Fulton made the most of the opportunity and lived up to the prove it deal. He recorded 51 tackles, one interception, and seven pass deflections, allowing 40 receptions on 64 targets for 459 yards, three touchdowns, and a 103.6 passer rating.
