Justin Fields, quarterback for the New York Jets, seems to be impressing everyone at the team’s camps, including his teammate, Sauce Gardner. Gardner made a recent appearance on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’ and showered his quarterback with many compliments, even going on to compare him to veteran QB Aaron Rodgers.
Fields was in fact, brought in as a replacement for Rodgers, who played with the Jet for a couple of seasons. However, Rodgers’ performance was not too great and the Jets let go of him in March this year. Meanwhile, his replacement, Fields, has been clearly working hard with his team, earning dozens of compliments from cornerback Gardner.
“He gets to the facility early, and he’s one of the last people to leave. He’s really been dialed in, trying to make those type of throws. Like, he made a few throws and, um, in OTAs that, I’m like, yo, I did not know he was capable of making this throw. Because it’s only a certain amount of quarterbacks that can make I’m talking about Aaron’s type of level, like when it comes to being able to squeeze those throws in there. I always thought Aaron was like, the best when it came to that. Justin made a few throws where I’m like, okay, he’s really been in the lab.” Sauce Gardner spoke about Justin Fields, comparing him to Aaron Rodgers in the ‘Pat McAfee Show’.

Justin Fields has not only been appreciated by Sauce Gardner, but by numerous other Jets players as well. It seems like the New York Jets have actually made a pretty solid investment in Fields after letting go of Aaron Rodgers.

Justin Fields Thinks His New York Jets Teammates Are Great
Meanwhile, it seems like Justin Fields thinks pretty highly of his teammates in the New York Jets as well. Quarterback Fields was recently asked about his experiences with other players by a Jets insider recently, and the young player could not hold back his happiness. Fields remarked that although this is his third team in the last three years, he has still managed to make solid connections with his teammates, both on and off the field.

Justin Fields played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the previous NFL season but was let go by the team after just one year. Incidentally, his predecessor in the Jets team, Aaron Rodgers, was picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have planned their entire offense around him.
