Joy Taylor has finally addressed Jason Whitlock’s past remarks about her appearance—including his reference to her “peanut butter” skin and “big cans.”

Appearing on Friday’s Higher Learning podcast with Van Lathan and Rachel Lindsay, Taylor said she’s never actually watched an episode of Whitlock’s Fearless show, despite hearing about it through others.
“I’ve never watched a second [of Whitlock’s podcast], I know it exists because of you… I’ve seen the comments and stuff, but I’ve never watched a second of anything that he says,” Taylor said. “But I think it’s so ironic that he would equate it to food.”
Whitlock responded on Monday’s episode of Fearless, challenging her claim that she hasn’t seen any of his content.
“Joy’s inference that ‘I’ve never watched his show’… but Joy, let me give you the first step towards sincerity and authenticity. Unfollow me on Twitter or X,” Whitlock said.
He added, “If you’re going to make the statements—you’ve never seen my content, you don’t know what I’m doing, you don’t keep up with me—in order to sell that in an authentic manner, unfollow me on X, and then it becomes believable.”
Whitlock’s original comments stemmed from early 2025, when he addressed a lawsuit that accused Taylor of workplace bullying, alleged affairs with bosses, and suggested her value at Fox Sports came from her looks alone.
Joy Taylor Reflects on Exit from Fox Sports, Career Ahead
Following her quiet departure from Fox Sports after nearly a decade, Taylor recently opened up about her future.

In a clip from the upcoming Let Her Shoot podcast, she reflected on the transition.
“You know, as far as everything that happened, that’s the business. Nothing is forever, as all these clichés [say], but that is what it is,” Taylor said. “You know, [I’m] grateful. I had nine years on a network and the next chapter will be equally as exciting.”
She continued, “I’m not limiting myself. I’ve worked with a bunch of different people over the years, people I never thought that I would end up partnering up with.”

Taylor had been part of various shows on Fox, including Speak, which was recently canceled along with other weekday programming.
