Joy Taylor, well-known sports media personality, could not be a prouder aunt as she recently visited her nephew, Mason Taylor, at training camp with the New York Jets. Mason Taylor, who was selected by the Jets in the second round of the draft, smiled widely as he posed next to his aunt Joy Taylor at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center.

Joy Taylor certainly has plenty of time on her hands after being fired from the Fox Network recently. Taylor’s show, ‘Speak’ was cancelled abruptly along with several other shows, leaving fans both shocked and bewildered. After her firing, Taylor has been keeping her head low, but is still pretty active on social media.
“A New York Jets!” Joy Taylor wrote in her Instagram post, tagging her nephew Mason Taylor and the New York Jets.

While Joy Taylor was definitely proud of her nephew’s accomplishments and certainly had a happy day, the comments section of the post was not all that positive. Most of the comments referred to her firing and the lawsuit against her and other Fox employees.

Still others referred to rumors about Taylor’s promiscuity, with some even making nasty remarks that she might have slept with several of her nephew’s own teammates. Whatever the case may be, Joy Taylor will definitely be on the edge of her seat as Mason Taylor and the Jets are poised to kick off their 2025 campaign with a matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1.
Joy Taylor Admits Last Year Was Stressful
On another note, Joy Taylor appeared on ‘The Ringer’s Higher Learning’ podcast where she admitted that the last year was most particularly stressful for her in terms of her career. Taylor also hinted that she might take a break from sports media altogether and retire and confessed that she would like to simply “disappear”.
“The dream now is to disappear. The work of it all, it doesn’t feel the same…I don’t want to be 70 with a mic.” Joy Taylor spoke on ‘The Ringer’s Higher Learning’ podcast.

Although Joy Taylor’s career in sports media itself drew pretty ambiguous reviews, she is still a pretty popular face in the niche. Taylor’s credibility and knowledge in sports has often been criticized, especially with the grand number of times she has messed up facts and poured her energy and enthusiasm into the wrong subject. It looks like Taylor’s face might not be seen on screen anymore as she seeks a quiet retirement.
