There has been a lot of discussion lately regarding the future of Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin as there have been reports of an ultimatum regarding next year. He has been one of the top coaches since taking over the program in the 2020 season, but with some openings at Florida and LSU, he could be in a position to take a new job. Let’s take a deeper dive into what one college football analyst has predicted regarding Lane Kiffin’s future.
Josh Pate Believes Lane Kiffin Leaves Ole Miss

While on his weekly appearance of ‘Get Up‘, college football analyst Josh Pate predicted that Ole Miss Rebels coach Lane Kiffin will not be coaching the program next year and will be coaching somewhere else in the Southeastern Conference.
“I think, if I had to place my money right now, he’ll be somewhere other than Oxford, Mississippi coaching next year. What I do believe is there’s been a lot of window speculation. By that, I mean, if you’re a Florida booster, you have information that he may have visited Gainesville. What you may not have known is – well, his family rather, not him. Well, his family is going to be in Baton Rouge the next day doing their due diligence, shopping around. The problem is that leads to really widespread speculation that a deal is done. I don’t think a deal has been done, at least not as of the time I woke up this morning.
“I think he’s really back and forth on it. I do think, and I may have given you a different answer last week, that, more than likely, he’ll be out of there.”
Lane Kiffin has had the Rebels in one of the best spots in college football, being sixth in the most recent CFP Poll. It will be intriguing to see where he is coaching next season as we head closer to the Egg Bowl.
