Josh Jacobs, running back for the Green Bay Packers, is seen as a pretty promising player for the team in the upcoming NFL season, according to running backs coach Ben Sirmans. Sirmans spoke to reporters on Wednesday about Jacobs and mentioned how the player looks a lot better than he did in the previous year.
Jacobs joined the Green Bay Packers in the previous NFL season after playing for the Las Vegas Raiders from 2019 to 2023. The 27-year-old running back was selected by the Raiders as the 24th pick in the very first round of the draft. Before joining the NFL, Jacobs played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide. In the previous NFL season, Josh Jacobs managed 301 carries for 1,329 yards for the Packers, scoring 15 touchdowns.
“The guy looks better this year than he did last year at this point,” Running backs coach Ben Sirmans told reporters on Wednesday about Josh Jacobs.

The Green Bay Packers are definitely eager to do better in the next NFL season after finishing third in the NFC North table, winning 11 games and losing six. The Packers managed to make it to the Wild Card round to take on the Philadelphia Eagles, losing 22-10 and getting kicked out of the tournament.

Josh Jacobs is definitely the player of the Green Bay Packers’ future according to a recent video released by the team’s social media. In the video, Jacobs can be seen falling asleep and dreaming about the schedule of the Packers for the upcoming NFL season.

According to Jacobs’ dream and recent reports, the Green Bay Packers will be opening their 2025 NFL season by taking on the Detroit Lions, followed by a matchup with the Washington Commanders. The Packers will also be taking on the New York Jets, the Indianapolis Colts and the Seattle Seahawks for their preseason this year.
The Green Bay Packers have been pretty busy this offseason, strengthening their roster to do better in the upcoming season. The Packers most importantly signed Aaron Banks and Nate Hobbs to four-year contracts. They also managed to re-sign wide receiver Mecole Hardman. They also brought in Isaiah Simmons and Kristian Welch to their locker room.

Apart from the numerous valuable additions, the team also saw several departures, like Josh Myers who signed with the New York Jets. The team also got rid of cornerback Eric Stokes and running back AJ Dillon, who is currently with the Philadelphia Eagles.
