Joe Namath, former New York Jets quarterback, is clearly excited that Aaron Glenn has been hired as the new head coach for the team. Namath took to social media to show off this happiness for his beloved team, remarking that he wishes the new season would start the very next week.
Joe Namath, who is currently 81 years old, played for 13 seasons with the NFL and also goes by ‘Broadway Joe’, a name handed to him as a result of his charisma and vibrant personality on and off the field. Namath played for the New York Jets from 1965 to 1976, after moving to the Los Angeles Rams for a season.

It is not only Joe Namath who is excited about Aaron Glenn joining the team, but many New York Jets fans. Fans are hoping that Glenn will take the team to the championships after their squad had a disappointing season last time out.
Glenn brings plenty of experience as a player, and as a coach, to the New York Jets team. Glenn has played 15 seasons with the NFL, mostly for the New York Jets, and then for the Houston Texans, the Dallas Cowboys, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the New Orleans Saints.
As a coach, Glenn has worked with the Cleveland Browns for a season as an assistant. defensive backs coach, for the New Orleans Saints for four seasons as a defensive backs coach and most recently the Detroit Lions for four seasons as a defensive coordinator.
Joe Namath Continues To Support Aaron Rodgers’s Position In Jets Team
A couple of weeks back, Joe Namath also offered his support for Aaron Rodgers continuing to play for the Jets, that is if the quarterback wants to do so. Despite retiring from the game many years ago, Namath is constantly active in voicing out his opinions on anything related to his beloved Jets team.
After seeing Aaron Rodgers‘ impressive performance in their last game against the Miami Dolphins, Namath was blown away by the quarterback’s numbers. Rodgers managed to breeze through 274 yards in that game, completing 23 passes out of 36 attempts, with a whopping four touchdowns for the team. Namath took to X to drop his praise for the veteran quarterback, commenting that he would love to see Rodgers continue to play for the New York Jets.
