Joe Mixon talks about being the favorite
Joe Mixon and the Cincinnati Bengals are in a good spot in late January. The defending AFC Champions have a chance to defend their title on Sunday on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs. With Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes planning on playing with a high-ankle sprain, the red-hot Bengals are favorites to win.
Mixon was asked about being a favorite on Wednesday. According to Mohammad Ahmad with Cleveland.com, the Pro Bowl running back made a strong statement about what he thought about the prediction:
“At the end of the day, that s— don’t mean nothing. We’re gonna play our brand of football,” Mixon said.

Both teams are battling injuries
It’s a good idea for Joe Mixon to remain level-headed going into the game. Upsets happen pretty frequently in the playoffs. The Chiefs will still be deadly even if Mahomes isn’t as mobile. The Chiefs have a lot of weapons.
The Bengals are also dealing with injuries. On Monday, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Jonah Williams (knee) and Alex Cappa (ankle) would be day-to-day this week. According to Paul Dehner Jr. with The Athletic, Cappa and Williams did not practice Wednesday. Defensive Tackle DJ Reader missed practice as well.
