Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, is one of the football stars who appear in the second season of the Quarterback series on Netflix. Burrows appears in the fifth episode of the season, and the storyline narrates the incidents surrounding his home burglary in December last year.
Burrow, in fact, had a pretty awesome day with the Bengals leading up to the burglary. The Bengals managed to win the game on December 9th, with the quarterback himself scoring three touchdowns for the team with 33 pass completions on 44 attempts. However, as soon as the game was over, the quarterback received some pretty startling news that his house had been broken into and several valuables had been stolen.
“Of f***ing course this happened to me right now. When you’re on Cloud 9, something’s gonna bring you right back down. That just felt like the kind of year that it was. I just get uncomfortable. My life is very public. That comes with the job, but there are certain parts of your life that are yours. Your house is one of those. When that gets violated, people find out where you live, all these different things.” Joe Burrow recounted his home burglary in episode 5 of the season of ‘Quarterback’ on Netflix.
Joe Burrow also shared that all of his jewelry was stolen by the thieves, but fortunately, they were insured. However, the thing that seemed to irk the quarterback beyond relief was the invasion of his privacy.
Joe Burrow’s Burglary Sparked Dating Rumors With Olivia Ponton
Joe Burrow’s fears of his privacy being invaded were definitely justified, as the robbery itself led to dating rumors with model Olivia Ponton. Ponton was the one who reported the burglary after she found that a window had been broken. When she was asked about the nature of her relationship with Burrow by the officer-in-charge, Ponton simply stated that she was an employee.
Ponton’s reporting of the whole incident immediately sparked fresh dating rumors between Burrow and the model. Burrow and Ponton were also seen exiting the same bus along with many other celebrities at the F1 event in Miami sometime back, adding more fuel to the dating rumors. Joe Burrow, who is known to be a pretty private person, has not confirmed anything of that sort with Olivia Ponton until now, and neither has the model.
