JJ Watt, former NFL defensive end, was one of the many who reacted to the new Washington Commanders jerseys. A few days ago, the Commanders revealed their brand new jerseys for the upcoming NFL season, much to the delight of football fans everywhere. The jerseys are themselves a throwback to the glory days of the Washington Commanders who have won three Super Bowls so far.
The Commanders designed the jersey reveal with a retro feel, taking their hardcore fans on a much needed nostalgic trip. With their brand new jerseys, the message that the Washington Commanders are sending out is pretty clear – that the team is here to win and reclaim their glory.
“Weaving past and present. We’re adding back the Super Bowl Era threads to our uniform rotation.” The Washington Commanders official X account tweeted.

“Make’em permanent.” JJ Watt responded to the Commanders’ post on X.

While JJ Watt did not play with the Washington Commanders during his time in the NFL, the defensive end, just like millions of football fans, seems to be pretty excited about the special throwback jerseys.

The Commanders are definitely hoping for a much better 2025 NFL season when compared to their previous campaign when the team only made it as far as the NFC Championships. This season, the Commanders will be hoping that their offense, led by starting QB Jayden Daniels, turns things around for them.
JJ Watt Makes Large Donation For Texas Flood Relief Victims
JJ Watt and his wife, Kealia Watt, were among the latest to donate to help the victims of the recent floods in Texas. According to a report by FOX 26, the retired NFL defensive end donated $100,000 to a Texas-based restaurant, Grape Juice Kerrville to help it continue providing food to survivors in Kerry County and Texas Hill Country. The restaurant is not only supporting survivors of the flood, but also first responders and rescuers.

As of now, the Texas floods have claimed more than 115 people with 160 victims still missing. The floods were apparently caused by sudden heavy rains which led to the Guadalupe River swelling.
The floods also engulfed a Christian summer camp called Camp Mystic in which a nine-year-old niece of Kansas City Chiefs owner, Clark Hunt, was killed with dozens of others. The death tolls currently amounts to 60 adults and more than 35 children in one of the most disastrous catastrophes that the United States has seen in recent days.
