Jets vs Seahawks football will be a good game for football fans. The  7-8 New York Jets head to the pacific north-west to take on the 7-8 Seattle Seahawks. Sunday’s match between the two teams is significant because of playoff implications. Both teams have an opportunity to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win. Seattle is currently in second place in the NFC West and need to win. Seattle suffered a 24-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and look to bounce back. The New York Jets are currently in last place in the AFC East and have lost four straight games.

Jets vs Seahawks’ last matchup was in 2020 and Seattle won 40-3. Seattle holds a 12-8 record against the New York Jets. Sunday’s match should be competitive and fun. ESPN analytics gives Seattle a 60 percent chance to win the game. The Jets are favored by 1.5 points.

    Seattle Seahawks

Pete Carrol’s Seahawks have hit a rough patch. Seattle has lost its last three games and have struggled to move the ball on offense. Seattle’s offense was stuck in park for the majority of the Chiefs game. Seattle couldn’t get anything going until late in the game. Seattle has to start fast on offense and build momentum. The Seahawks can do this by establishing the run and throwing quick passes. Rookie running back Kenneth Walker has rushed for 803 yards and scored nine touchdowns. The Jets have a stout defense and Seattle has to slow them down. Running the ball slows down the game and will help Seattle control the clock.

Defensively the Seahawks have to get after Mike White. Mike White has shown the ability to direct the Jet’s offense and make good throws. Seattle has to get White off his spot and force him to get rid of the ball quickly. Seahawks rookie cornerback Tariq Woolen has to slow down Garrett Wilson. If Seattle can execute on defense they have a chance to win.

    New York Jets

Like Seattle, the Jets have also hit a rough patch. As mentioned earlier the Jets have lost their last five games and haven’t found ways to win. New York is running out of time and in danger of missing the playoffs. New York has to play better on offense. The Jet’s offense ranks 21st in the NFL and is averaging 19 points per game. Mike White has to lead the Jet’s offense and execute during the game. The atmosphere in Seattle will be loud, chaotic, and intense. If the Jets can move the ball, convert on third down, and not penalize themselves they have a chance to win the game.

Defensively, the Jets have to continue doing what they have done throughout the season. The Jet’s defense has been great this season and has had success defending offenses.
