The Jets are looking to make a big splash this offseason in multiple facets. They exceeded expectations this year but due to some questionable offensive play, they fell short of the playoffs. This caused New York to fire OC Mike LaFleur. It did not take long to find his replacement. The Jets have hired former Denver Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett as their new offensive coordinator.

Jets Hire Nathaniel Hackett As OC
Hackett did not have a good run in Denver as he was fired before the season was over. However, Hackett has a track record of being a great offensive coordinator. In his time in Green Bay, he helped lead an offense that saw QB Aaron Rodgers win back-to-back MVPs. He looks to duplicate that success with a New York offense that has some promise. Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson had excellent rookie seasons even though Hall’s was cut short by injury. They just have to figure out the QB position which is why they might have brought Hackett in.
Aaron Rodgers In Play?
It is no secret that New York want Rodgers. The trick now is convincing him that he wants to come play in New York. The Hackett hire will add more fuel to the fire on a potential trade between Green Bay and New England. Rodgers has been very vocal about his love for Hackett. This would help solve the biggest problem for the team last year, QB play.
