The New York Jets fell to the Denver Broncos in a surprising loss that moved the Jets to 2-2 on the year. With Buffalo falling to the Baltimore Ravens, it would have been a perfect opportunity for New York to get an advantage in the division.
The loss was fairly shocking as Aaron Rodgers’ addition to the team didn’t have many fans thinking they won’t be scoring touchdowns. The only points came via made field goals, however, one attempt had Rodgers looking depleted on the sidelines.
Jets: Troubling Video Leaks Of Aaron Rodgers During Loss To Broncos
With under a minute left in the game, Greg Zuerlein missed a go-ahead field goal, leading to New York’s 10-9 loss. With just 248 yards total offense and zero touchdowns, the Jets offense struggled against the Broncos. A video of Rodgers’ reaction to the missed field goal attempt is going viral:

On 23 attempts, the running game managed just 64 yards. It appeared that Aaron Rodgers was out of sync with his receivers and took five sacks today (24-of-42 for 225 yards, no touchdowns, no interceptions). Garrett Wilson tallied eight targets for the team, but he only landed five catches for 41 yards.
According to Timothy Rapp of Bleacher Report:
After Rodgers was sacked on a 4th-and-10 attempt with 1:46 remaining, the Broncos went three-and-out on the following drive and missed a 50-yard field goal. That gave the Jets the ball back with on their own 40-yard line with 1:27 remaining and no timeouts, needing only a field goal to win.
A completion to Breece Hall and a defensive pass interference call gave the Jets the ball on the Denver 36-yard line, putting them in field goal range. The Jets only managed four more yards from there, however, and Zuerlein missed a 50-yard attempt of his own, allowing the Broncos to run out the clock.
Yes, conditions on Sunday were hardly ideal given the inclement weather. But Rodgers and the offense would be expected to at least manage a touchdown or double-digit points. What transpired on Sunday wasn’t indicative of a potential playoff team.
