The New York Jets suffered a shocking home loss to the Denver Broncos. What may have been even more shocking was the 10-9 final score that sent the Jets to 2-2 on the season.
Following the loss, there seemed to be reporters thinking there was tension between Aaron Rodgers and head coach Robert Saleh. Those rumors escalated to the point where Rodgers was asked about it during a press conference.
Jets’ Aaron Rodgers Makes Public Statement About Coach Following Loss To Broncos
It has been reported that quarterback Aaron Rodgers and New York Jets coach Robert Saleh have had a potentially rocky relationship over the last few days, however, Rodgers maintains there is no tension between them:
During his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” today, Rodgers poured cold water over rumors that there’s a rift between him and the fourth-year head coach.
“Rob and I have a great relationship, and we have since day one when I got here. You know, we have text message conversations, threads that we’re in, conversations about a number of different topics outside of football. We’ve got a good friendship.”
The Jets were favored by more than a touchdown against the Broncos on Sunday. Even though Denver rookie quarterback Bo Nix threw for just 60 yards, it was barely enough to help the Broncos pull off a stunning 10-9 upset over Aaron Rodgers’ group.
With a completion percentage of 64.1%, Rodgers has thrown 849 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. It is clear, however, that this star-studded offense still needs to find its rhythm to reach their full potential.
