The New York Jets are looking for anyone and everyone that will help their team win a Super Bowl in 2024. While Aaron Rodgers has made it clear he wants to play multiple more seasons, the fact of the matter is he’s on the wrong side of 40 and could hang up his cleats at any time. It truly is Super Bowl or bust each and every year for the Jets as long as Rodgers is under center.
That’s why Rodgers has to love what he just saw from a rookie during their final pre-season game.
New York Jets Aaron Rodgers Has To Love What He Just Saw In Final Pre-Season Matchup

There is an embarrassment of riches on the defensive line of the New York Jets in 2024.
In the preseason finale against the New York Giants, that incredible depth was on full display, and it was evident during the entire game. Leonard Taylor III, an undrafted free agent defender, took full advantage of the opportunity.
Taylor, according to Antwan Staley of the New York Daily News, was “unblockable both as a pass rusher and a run stopper.” This makes him a strong candidate to make the Jets roster and get snaps in the regular season
Here is Pro Football Network’s Draft Profile on Taylor:
Taylor grades out as a top-100 prospect and an early-round talent at the DT position. Judging purely off talent, Taylor is one of the five most alluring physical specimens in the class, but where he goes in the 2024 NFL Draft ultimately depends on how teams view his work ethic and football character.
Taylor’s production in 2023 wasn’t at the level it was in 2021 and 2022, but his high-level tools still show up on tape. Pound-for-pound, Taylor rivals Johnny Newton and Byron Murphy II as one of the most explosive DTs off the snap in the 2024 NFL Draft, and he carries his 304-pound frame about as easily as one can.
Getting Rodgers a top defense in the NFL will be key in the Jets’ abilities to chase a championship in 2024. From the sounds of it, they are off to a good start.
