Dallas Cowboys majority owner Jerry Jones is in a spot more complicated than fans can understand it. Or at least, that is how one analyst explained the matter concerning the contract extension of their star, Micah Parsons.

In a recent video, NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky got honest about his thoughts on the position of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones right now, particularly with the issue of contract extensions surrounding him.
For Orlovsky, the reality of the situation is that running an NFL franchise is still business, at the end of the day.
“That’s literally all that matters at the end of this,” he said. “Why did he make the comment? He didn’t do that to Dak, and he didn’t do that to CeeDee.”
“This one is a bigger problem because there is a remnant of personal dislike.”@danorlovsky7 believes Micah Parsons’ contract situation feels different from CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott 😯 pic.twitter.com/KMz1wIPbwl

He also reiterated how the case of Micah Parsons has been extra complicated, which makes it harder for Jones and the front office of the Cowboys to reach a decision.
“This one feels different,” he added. “And it was also the easiest to get it done. That’s why this one is a bigger problem, because there’s a remnant of a personal dislike. There is a feel and smell of ‘I don’t really like you that much’. And I do think that he like Prescott, the person and he like CeeDee Lamb.”

Jerry Jones and Micah Parsons have been the hot topic of contract extensions in the NFL, with fans and analysts wondering about their future and the possibility of a contract extension.
Jerry Jones Got Honest On The Issue of Micah Parsons’ Contract Extension
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones faced pointed questions at the outset of training camp after star edge rusher Micah Parsons publicly requested a trade, in what many observers saw as leverage in ongoing contract talks. Social media buzzed with speculative trade destinations, but insiders quickly noted that Parsons’ move mirrored past bargaining tactics by elite players aiming to accelerate negotiations.
With the Cowboys holding three more years of team control, few executives believed Dallas would actually part with their defensive cornerstone. Jones, addressing reporters the day following Parsons’ request, was remarkably candid about the situation.
“Let’s put it like this, surely you guys have been around this stuff and know to recognize negotiation talk, that type of thing,” Jerry said, framing the trade demand as a familiar strategy rather than a genuine intent to depart. “So that’s where I put that.”

When pressed on whether he would entertain offers for No. 11, Jones was emphatic.
“I’m not,” he answered. “The facts are that’s like anything else. I think the world of Micah, and that’s just part of negotiation.”
Despite maintaining a professional demeanor and remaining involved with the team, Micah Parsons recently voiced his frustrations publicly. Last week, he posted a lengthy social media message expressing his thoughts on the situation and announcing his trade request from the Cowboys. Nevertheless, Jerry Jones has stated that the team is actively working on a contract acceptable to both parties.
