Jeffrey Simmons, defensive tackle for the Tennessee Titans, recently spoke about quarterback Will Levis being benched. The Titans are not having such a great season so far, and are currently at the bottom of the AFC South after winning only three games and losing 11. Last timeout, the Titans played the Cincinnati Bengals and lost 37-27.
Brian Callahan, head coach of the Titans, recently made the difficult decision to bench Levis and bring in Mason Rudolph. This season, Rudolph has scored six touchdowns for 1,015 yards, along with five interceptions. When asked about Callahan’s decision to bench Levis, Jeffrey Simmons had a few eye-opening things to say.
“We all get held to a high standard, and when you’re not doing your job, and you’re not, I guess, doing at a high level, and they expect you to do it, you know, things happen like that,” Jeffrey Simmons said to reporters.

Even though Callahan has decided to bring in Rudolph and bench Levis, fans of the star quarterback do not have to be worried for too long. The head coach went on to remark that Jeffrey Simmons’ team-mate, Levis, would not be benched forever. Callahan also commented that he still believes in Levis and expects him to improve.
