The Las Vegas Raiders rushing offense was the worst in the league during the 2024 NFL season after losing Josh Jacobs in free agency to the Green Bay Packers. Las Vegas had the sixth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and selected running back Ashton Jeanty from the Boise State Broncos.

The Raiders will be able to run the football with ease once again in 2025. With Pete Carroll as the head coach and Chip Kelly as the offensive coordinator, they will be able to get Jeanty what he wants. He was impressive in college during the 2024 season.
NFL Analyst Gives Expectations For Las Vegas Raiders Running Back Ashton Jeanty Entering Rookie Season

Jeanty rushed for over 2,000 yards last season in college and made a living with reaching the end zone as well. He may not rush for over 2,000 yards as a rookie in the NFL, but he for sure can rush over 1,000 yards and get into the end zone several times.
Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic wrote about what expectations should be for each first-round pick entering the 2025 NFL Draft. Baumgardner said about Jeanty’s expectations:
“Jeanty’s one of those guys — he’s on the Bijan Robinson/Jahmyr Gibbs dance floor and has the ability to be an immediate difference-maker for an offense. Chip Kelly can, and probably will, have a field day with all the different things Jeanty can do.
Expect a productive rookie year from Jeanty, who should be an offensive focal point alongside Brock Bowers very soon.”
There is no doubt that Jeanty and Bowers are the building blocks of the Raiders offense for the foreseeable future. Las Vegas will picked to finish in last place in the AFC West during the 2025 NFL season. However, there is no doubt that the Raiders aren’t going to be a pushover in 2025. Jeanty is going to provide a different dimension for this offense.
