“There Will Be An Investigation” Vice President Issues Warning To NFL, “Rigging Games Will Not Be Allowed”

Vice President JD Vance is sending a direct warning/threat to the NFL.  The announcement came shortly after Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift announced their engagement. The VP didn’t take too kindly to the news, in fact, he wanted to make sure that games will still be called fairly.

In light of Donald Trump’s hatred for Taylor Swift, it’s not surprising that JD Vance wants to rip on her and Travis Kelce as well:

On Tuesday, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement in an Instagram post with the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married🧨”.

Despite his vocal hatred of Swift, President Trump told a reporter he wishes them “a lot of love” and called the world’s biggest music star “a terrific person.” Vance, however, has taken a different approach.

During an interview with USA Today, Trump’s vice president (a fan of the rival Cincinnati Bengals) warned the NFL against rigging games in favor of Kansas City following Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s engagement:

“I will say as a football fan − as a Cincinnati Bengals fan − I hope that the NFL does not put a thumb on the scale for the Kansas City Chiefs just because Travis Kelce is now getting married to maybe the most famous woman in the world.”

Last season, the NFL refs faced countless accusations of “rigging” games for the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes and company certainly benefited from plenty of questionable and terrible calls, but that’s the case with 31 other teams.

One of the questionable calls that helped Kansas City included a pass interference call late in their Week 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals that helped set up Harrison Butker’s game-winning field goal.

At any rate, it appears Vance already has the excuse machine ready to go if he’s discontent with the results of this year’s Bengals and Chiefs games.

Travis Kelce pondered retirement after the Chiefs fell 40-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59, but the future Hall of Famer ultimately decided to come back for at least one more season.

Kelce has nothing more to prove with three Super Bowl championships, 10 Pro Bowl nods and four First-team All-Pro selections on his resume, but he’s clearly capable of playing at a high enough in his age-36 season.

Kansas City’s bid to win a fourth Super Bowl in the Mahomes-Andy Reid era will begin next Friday when they take on the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil.
