On April 30, 2024, Jaylin Simpson and Madison Blackbrun became well known after Simpson was selected by the Indianapolis Colts with the 164th overall pick in the NFL Draft. Blackburn made sure that Simpson’s time with the Colts was unforgettable, and brief.
Only less than a year, by December 2024, Simpson moved to the New York Jets and signed a one-year contract with them, and his girlfriend continued to support her man through his transition into a new life with another NFL team.

Four months before they announced their wedding, Simpson made a perfect proposal at one of the most scenic seaside spots. He was holding a diamond ring and the sound of waves behind him when he asked Blackburn to marry him, and she accepted.
How was Jaylin Simpson in the NFL So Far?
Jaylin Simpson turned professional in the NFL when he was first drafted by the Indianapolis Colts as the 164th overall pick during the NFL Draft of that year. Coming off of a stellar performance as a star player at Auburn University, Simpson cost the pro league a lot when he came in with expectations.
Simpson was known for being a playmaker and that is what got him to where he came to be in college football.
Simpson finished with 118 tackles and a total of 7 interceptions during his tenure at Auburn. He racked up a bevy of awards and accolades as well, he even got recognized as one of the semifinalists for the Jim Thorpe Award honor given to the Best Defensive Backs in the sport.

Although he was drafted by the Colts, Simpson jumped the fence in December of 2024 when he signed a one-year deal worth $795,000 with the New York Jets.
As of now, coaches have complimented his versatility and work ethic during practices back in Tampa, and with the 2025 season beginning, Jaylin Simpson is looking to cement his place in the league. He has a one-year contract and is looking forward to a new opportunity in New York and is ready to show he belongs at football’s premier level.
