Jayden Daniels, starting quarterback for the Washington Commanders, will have a solid on-field partner in wide-receiver Terry McLaurin for the upcoming season, now that the wide-out has signed a major contract extension with the team. According to recent reports, McLaurin signed a three-year extension with the Commanders for a total sum of $96 million.
Commanders fans could not be happier with Daniels definitely partnering up with McLaurin, now that the extension drama is over. Daniels’s mother, Regina Jackson, who is also his manager, could not hold back her excitement with her latest tweet.

“Finally!! It’s go time now!! #httc #HTTR #raisehail,” Washington Commanders quarterback, Jayden Daniels’ mother Regina Jackson posted from her X account.

Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders will soon take on the New York Giants in Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season. Daniels was visibly absent in the preseason games, with the Commanders featuring quarterbacks Josh Johnson and Sam Hartman as offensive leaders. The Commanders brutally lost all the three preseason games and the team will hope to redeem themselves by kicking off their regular season on a positive note.
Daniels has been with the Washington Commanders since the 2024 NFL season and the quarterback is expected to do more in the upcoming season for the team. In the previous football season, the young quarterback threw for a total of 3,568 yards, scoring 25 touchdowns, and is predicted to break this record in this new season.

Jayden Daniels Reacts To Terry McLaurin’s Contract Extension
Not only Jayden Daniels’ mother, but the Washington Commanders starting quarterback himself dropped his own reaction to Terry McLaurin’s contract extension. Daniels is perhaps the happiest in the team to have McLaurin by his side on the field, with the quarterback and the wide receiver creating a pretty strong bond.
“Lemme hold [some] $.” Jayden Daniels reacted to Terry McLaurin’s contract extension with the Commanders.
Terry McLaurin had solidly put his foot down until his contract extension needs were met by the Washington Commanders. The wide receiver did not train with the team until the Commanders gave him the deal he deserved. McLaurin’s holdout definitely made many fans hold their breath, especially since his exit could make Daniels falter in the team. McLaurin has been playing with the Washington Commanders since the 2019 NFL season and in the previous season, managed a total of 82 receptions with 13 touchdowns.
