Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders quarterback, is heartbroken over Kyren Lacy’s death. Daniels and Lacy have been close ever since their college days at LSU. Lacy apparently died as a result of suicide on Saturday night, after a police pursuit.
The young LSU quarterback was involved in legal issues since last December as a result of a car crash. Due to his rash driving, Lacy crashed into another vehicle, as a result of which a person died. The legal troubles surrounding Lacy not only brought unwanted media attention and criticism, but also lowered his stock in the NFL draft. Jayden Daniels, who was very close to Kyren Lacy, posted numerous Instagram stories honoring his late friend.
“I miss your goofy ahhh, WTF.” Jayden Daniels captioned one of his Instagram stories.
“We was [were] frontline everytime. Love you brudda fr.” Daniels wrote in another one.
“Till next time brudda…we gonna hold it down for u. U gonna live your dreams through us. Hope you at peace now.” Washington Commanders quarterback, Jayden Daniels, captioned one of the stories showing himself and Kyren Lacy in LSU Tigers colors.
Jayden Daniels played for the LSU Tigers as a quarterback from 2022 to 2023, during which time he created a close bond with Kyren Lacy. Before LSU, Daniels played for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Daniels managed to get into the NFL after being selected by the Washington Commanders as the second pick in the very first round of the 2024 draft.

Not only Jayden Daniels but his mother, too, was close to Kyren Lacy, who died in a recent suicide. Daniels’ mother, Regina Jackson, posted a picture of Lacy on her Instagram and shared her grief for the young talent who passed away too soon.
“RIP Kyren.” Regina Jackson wrote on her Instagram, sharing a picture of her son Jayden Daniels’ friend, Kyren Lacy.

Meanwhile, Jayden Daniels is busy gearing up for the upcoming NFL season with the Washington Commanders. In the 2024 NFL season, the Commanders finished second in the NFC East after winning 12 games and losing five so far.

Washington made it to the NFC Championship, but was defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles with a final score of 55-23. In the previous season, Daniels managed a total of 3,568 passing yards, scoring 25 touchdowns, while managing nine interceptions. Daniels also led the team in rushing with 891 yards for the Commanders.
