New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart expressed frustration following his team’s eighth consecutive loss on Sunday. The 2-12 Giants fell to the Washington Commanders 29-21, extending their miserable season and testing the patience of their young signal-caller who admitted to struggling with the constant defeats.

Dart’s comments about never experiencing such a prolonged losing streak drew harsh reactions from fans who reminded him that this is simply life as a Giants player.

The rookie quarterback opened up about his mental state after the latest defeat.
“I’ve never gone this long without a win in my career,” Dart stated following the loss. “I know that this isn’t going to be the case for the future, and things are going to eventually turn around. I definitely have that in my mind. Obviously, as a team we want to get that switched immediately”.

Dart seemed genuinely confused about why his team keeps losing despite believing they have more talent than their record shows.
“I think that our losses have been pretty simple for the most part: just us not being a team that finishes consistently in the fourth quarter. I think that that’s just the reason,” Dart explained.
“That’s what we have to fix. I think that when you watch back the tape, you understand why we’re not winning games”.
The Giants collapsed in the final minutes against Washington after building momentum. Two critical drops by veteran captain Darius Slayton, a foolish personal foul by center John Michael Schmitz for excessive yapping with Commanders players.
And then a 64-yard punt return touchdown allowed in the final moments of the first half all contributed to the defeat.
Dart completed 20 of 36 passes for 246 yards with touchdown passes to Tyrone Tracy and Wan’Dale Robinson, along with one costly interception. He struggled when pressured in the first half, going 0-for-5 when defenders got near him.
NFL fans show zero sympathy for Jaxson Dart’s complaints
One fan delivered the harsh reality of playing for the New York Giants, writing, “Welcome to the NY Football Giants, kid.” The comment suggested Dart better get comfortable with losing as it’s become the franchise’s identity.
A second person painted an even bleaker picture, stating, “Welcome to football purgatory. It only gets worse from here bro.” The fan warned Dart that the suffering has only just begun.
A third observer echoed a similar sentiment, declaring, “Get used to it pal. You play for the losing’est franchise in the league.” The brutal assessment reminded Dart he joined a historically dysfunctional organization.
A fourth commenter criticized Dart’s focus on himself, writing, “Everything is always about him. There is no I in team.” The fan accused the rookie of making the team’s struggles about his personal experience rather than collective responsibility.
A fifth person placed blame directly on Dart’s performance, stating, “Dart sucked yesterday! Although Slayton had his usual terrible game you were the reason for the loss. I hope this is a one off.” The harsh critique suggested the quarterback’s play, not just team mistakes, contributed significantly to the defeat.
The Giants have now matched their 2-12 record from last season with three games remaining. They face the Minnesota Vikings next Sunday before closing out with matchups against the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles.
