Jason Whitlock did not hold back as he accused many other sports journalists and media personalities over the recent drama surrounding late wide receiver Kyren Lacy. Lacy killed himself earlier this year, two days before he was scheduled to appear in court for causing a car crash that killed one person.
The case details were indeed murky, and the late LSU wide receiver has received plenty of tributes for passing away at such a young age. A few days back, a video went viral that showed Lacy was far away from where the crash occurred and therefore couldn’t have caused it.

This caused a media circus with many, including Robert Griffin III and Pat McAfee, all claiming that Lacy was wrongly accused and was innocent. They soon had to issue apology videos when further details stated that Lacy had indeed caused the crash through a sequence of events. Jason Whitlock called out RGIII, who deleted the video of himself defending Lacy.
“Jocks cosplaying as journalists. Ya hate to see it. The road to hell is paved with the good intentions of the uninformed.” Jason Whitlock tweeted, sharing a link to RGIII’s now-deleted controversial video.

“RG3 deleted his Kyren Lacy video. Let’s see if he owns his mistake.” Whitlock added in another tweet.

Jason Whitlock’s tweet does not seem to have had any effect on Robert Griffin III who has not issued any such apology video. Meanwhile, others who made blunders, including Pat McAfee and Ryan Clark have come forward to apologize for their mistakes.

Jason Whitlock also managed to call out Ryan Clark for his mistake in the Kyren Lacy case. After learning about the other developments in the case, Clark apologized on national television a few days later. Despite Clark’s apology, Whitlock couldn’t resist poking fun at the former Steelers safety turned broadcaster.

“Help me with this. Ryan Clark is chasing OJ Simpson at this point….” Jason Whitlock responded to another tweet, trolling Ryan Clark.

Jason Whitlock also reacted to Pat McAfee’s video discussing the case, but the former sports columnist did not make any judgments and simply asked for the truth. Whitlock must be surely patting himself on the back for the way he handled this debacle, especially since he is known for his many controversial statements. Meanwhile, Kyren Lacy’s case is still being investigated, long after the young player has passed on.
