Hours before the Eagles played the Bears on Black Friday, Kelce turned Lot K into a whole athletic event. His New Heights podcast hosted a belly-bucking championship, a contest where fans used their stomachs to push each other out of a ring. Kelce jumped in and took part, which turned the tailgate into a major attraction.

Despite the 38-degree cold, the lot buzzed with energy. A DJ played music, food stands served tailgate staples, and staff handed out free merchandise. Fans arrived in Kelly Green jerseys and turkey costumes, creating a perfect crowd for the competition.

Kelce had teased the stunt on his podcast and joked about ESPN’s approval of it. When it started, he skipped the referee role everyone expected. He tore off his shirt, put on an Eagles helmet, and stepped onto the platform in Timberland boots. The crowd exploded with cheers.

Kelce lowered his shoulder and powered ahead with his hands down. He won in seconds. New Heights later confirmed him as the belly bucking champion, adding another moment to his Philadelphia legacy.

One fan hurt his knee during a chest bump with Kelce. He told reporters it was ‘worth it’. The injury highlighted how rare it felt to go head-to-head with a Super Bowl champion.

Football fans react with pure joy to Jason Kelce’s performance

Social media lit up with reactions to Kelce’s belly-buckling win. Fans loved the spectacle. Comments showed how much Eagles fans value his willingness to embrace the goofy moments and stay connected with the crowd.

“A new league is born,” one fan declared, perhaps half-joking about turning belly bucking into an organized sport.

Another fan noted, “Jason moving them feet like the lineman he is,” appreciating how Kelce’s fundamental football footwork translated seamlessly to his belly bucking dominance.

The enthusiasm showed in one standout comment from a third fan who said, “This is f–king EPIC! I need Kylie’s reaction to all of this.” Fans wanted to know what Kylie Kelce thought about her husband’s shirtless helmet moment in the cold lot.

A fourth fan perfectly captured Kelce’s post-retirement lifestyle: “Bro said, unretire? Nah I’m busy.”

Perhaps the best reaction came from the fifth fan who added, “Jason in Japan learning sumo when?”

The comment suggested that fans envisioned Kelce taking his belly-bucking skills even further by training with actual sumo wrestlers. His history of embracing odd challenges makes the idea sound possible.
