Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions are enjoying a solid start to the season. Leading the NFC North with a 4-1 record, the Lions have won four straight games. Goff has been instrumental in driving the team’s success.
It’s been a great year for the QB, both on and off the field. Goff and his wife, Christen Harper, welcomed their first child, Romy, in July. Harper, who has more than 600,000 followers on Instagram, was asked about the origin of their daughter’s name. Recently, Jared Goff’s wife mentioned that she first heard the name from a French actress.
“There is a French actress from the 60s who went by Romy (nickname for Rosemary) and I always thought it was pretty. When I got pregnant Jared and I met a little girl in a coffee shop with the same name and thought it was so cute,” Harper said via her Instagram.
Goff and his wife have been for more than a year. The couple has been dating each other since 2019 and were more than happy to bring in their daughter to this world.
Colin Cowherd Says Jared Goff Will Be A Hall Of Famer
Jared Goff is having an excellent season and his numbers speak for themselves. He leads tall QB’s with an outstanding 75.2 percent completion and a dozen touchdown passes. He’s also been ranked the top overall passer and he keeps getting better every week.
Sports media personality Colin Cowher feels that Jared Goff is going to go places. Cowherd strongly feels that Goff will be inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
“Folks, get used to hearing this: Jared Goff’s going to be a Hall of Famer,” Cowherd said. “Absolutely going to be a Hall of Famer. No question. No question he’s going to be a Hall of Famer. He plays in rhythm, he plays in structure, he has great genetics his dad played in the Bigs.”
Cowherd’s words might come true if Goff continues to perform well. It’s not easy to get into the Hall of Fame, but Goff might be the one who can make that possible. If the QB stays consistent now and in the future, Colin Cowherd might just be right.
