Jameson Williams found himself in hot water this week—though not for something he did on the field this time. Instead, it was a short clip he shared on Instagram that drew the ire of Jason Whitlock.

The Detroit Lions wideout posted a video of a young football player celebrating a touchdown by, well, dry humping the ground. The move came after a kid quarterback ran the length of the field for a score, and instead of anyone stepping in to say “hey, chill,” the adults on the sidelines just cheered louder.
That didn’t sit right with Whitlock.
On Monday’s Fearless podcast, he unloaded.
“There’s a poison let loose in American culture and it’s most let loose and most cancerous in black American culture because we see this degeneracy and this music as black culture,” Whitlock said. “We’re poisoning little babies with a mindset of degeneracy and sex, and thinking that this kind of behavior is appropriate for little kids or even adults.”
He wasn’t just going after the kid in the video. He pointed out that he’d seen something like that before—last season, when Jameson Williams himself did the exact same celebration after scoring a 61-yard touchdown against Washington.

According to Whitlock, it all comes back to influence—and he singled out hip-hop’s impact on sports culture. He suggested it might be time to separate the two, or at least think twice about what kids are seeing and copying.
“Honestly, that’s disgraceful”: Social Media reacts to Jameson Williams’ NSFW TD celebration being replicated by a kid
While Jameson Williams didn’t do anything outrageous in the video—he was just filming the game—he still caught plenty of backlash online. And most of it wasn’t pretty.

Plenty of people didn’t hold back in the comments once the clip started making the rounds.
“Kids are going to be kids, although I’d never allow that—but the adults need to be kept on the sidelines and not trying to be all in the celebration too. Youth football is a strange place sometimes…,” one user wrote.
“The ‘grown ups’ sure are great role models 😂,” another said.
“Disgusting behavior. Where are the parents? Why are the adults chanting ‘do that shit’? Does anyone there have an ounce of decency? Jesus Lord come take us all,” one person added.
To be fair, the kid wasn’t pulling the move out of nowhere—he probably saw it somewhere. And that “somewhere” might’ve just been Williams last season.
