Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles may suffer in the long run with Sam Howell being traded to the team as backup quarterback. According to recent reports, the Eagles traded with the Minnesota Vikings to bring in Sam Howell to their team as a backup quarterback. However, not everyone is a fan of the move, including renowned sports journalist Skip Bayless.

Bayless put out a frank tweet, remarking that the Philadelphia Eagles are in danger. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles are hoping to score another Super Bowl win after winning the previous one earlier this year. The Eagles have been making crucial moves over the offseason for this very purpose, but this move has definitely shocked everyone.

“The Eagles are now vulnerable if their backup QB has to play.” Skip Bayless tweeted from his X account about the Philadelphia Eagles and backup quarterback Sam Howell.

Jalen Hurts has not been seen on the field in this preseason for the Philadelphia Eagles and will soon play his first game of the season against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. The Eagles have played decently this preseason, winning the first matchup, losing the second one, and winning the finale against the New York Jets.

Hurts has been with the Eagles since the 2020 NFL season and has won only one Super Bowl. While the quarterback is definitely talented, his prowess in the league has been doubted by many analysts. Still, the quarterback is all out to prove himself to be a worthy contender in the upcoming season with the Eagles.

Jalen Hurts And Eagles To Lock Horns With Cowboys In Week 1

Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles will be locking horns with the Dallas Cowboys in the first week of the 2025 regular season. The Eagles will be hoping to repeat their Super Bowl LIX performance against the Kansas City Chiefs. Hurts was leading man against the Chiefs, leading with three touchdowns.

Not only Hurts, but running back Saquon Barkley is another important factor for the team’s success in the previous NFL season. This time out, too, it will be up to Hurts and Barkley to lead the team’s offense.

The Eagles will be meeting the Dallas Cowboys in the first week of the 2025 NFL campaign, and history favors Philadelphia. The last time these two teams met, the Eagles easily won, with the Cowboys losing embarrassingly with a final 41-7.
