Jalen Hurts is about to be the franchise quarterback of a new team.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ star, who finished second in MVP voting during a stellar 2022 season, has been named the Global Ambassador for the United States’ Olympic Flag Football team ahead of the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.

Jalen Hurts The Face of Flag Football

In a promo video released by the NFL across the league’s social media properties, Hurts is seen launching a flaming football into the cauldron atop the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum lighting the very spot where the Olympic flame burned for the 1932 and 1984 Olypic Games.
“It’s Our Turn,” Hurts states, with the flame lit in the background and music booming.
Hurts is inarguably the face of the Philadelphia Eagles franchise and one of the most recognizable figures in the sport.
The video featuring Hurts isn’t just a callback to the 1992 Olympic Games where an archer shot a bow and arrow to light the flame, but also to raise awareness by the NFL and IFAF for the co-ed sort of flag football and build excitement for the event’s debut during the 2028 games.
