The Philadelphia Eagles had uncertainty at the quarterback position this week after quarterback Jalen Hurts suffered a knee injury in the team’s 28-22 win over the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round.
The Eagles are set to play the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday afternoon in the NFC Championship Game. The Commanders enter the contest hot, especially on offense.
Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels led the Commanders to 45 points in a 45-31 win over the Detroit Lions in the divisional round at Ford Field on Saturday.
With the Commanders’ offense rolling, the Eagles needed Hurts to be available and healthy against a hungry Washington team.
Philadelphia Eagles decide on Jalen Hurts
Hurts was limited at practice on Wednesday but was a full participant on Thursday. Per Friday’s injury report, Hurts was a full participant, and Philadelphia took the star quarterback off the report for Sunday’s game. The Eagles will start Hurts against the Commanders.
The Eagles listed wide receiver Britain Covey as questionable to play. Offensive lineman Cam Jurgens is also questionable. Linebacker Byron Young has been ruled out.
