Jalen Hurts and the Eagles rolled over the New York Giants last night by the score of 38-7. Hurts, who had been injured prior to the game, completed 16 of 24 passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns. The MVP candidate also ran the ball nine times for 34 yards and another touchdown.

After the game, Eagles head coach gave Hurts some of the best praise a player, in any sport, can receive. He compared Hurts to Michael Jordan.

How is Jalen Hurts Like Michael Jordan?

In his postgame press conference, Sirianni said the following of hurts:

“I know this is high praise, but to have him out there is like having — I shouldn’t even go there — it’s like having Michael Jordan out there. He’s your leader. He’s your guy.

“Hopefully, that’s the biggest respect I can pay to him, comparing his ability to being on the field to a Michael Jordan type. This guy leads. He brings this calmness to the entire team. He plays great football. He’s as tough as they come. To me, nobody has played any better football than him this year.”

In addition to being hurt, Jalen Hurts revealed to reporters that he had come down with an illness this week. The comparison to Michael Jordan, who played one of his best games while suffering from the flu, is an understandable one.
