Jake Ferguson, tight end for the Dallas Cowboys, proved on Sunday that he is totally worthy of the whopping extension that the team handed to him over the offseason. In the Week 5 matchup against the New York Jets, the Cowboys posted a spectacular 37-22 win, with Ferguson’s spectacular 26-yard catch easily becoming one of the best moments of the game.

The Cowboys officially announced their goal for the season with their performance against the Jets, with quarterback Dak Prescott stunning with four touchdowns. Meanwhile, tight end Jake Ferguson added another pair of TDs to the team’s winning effort against the Jets. Ferguson’s fiancée, Haley Cavinder, shared a screenshot of her fiancé on the TV screen as she watched the game on Sunday.

Jake Ferguson and the Dallas Cowboys have been struggling majorly ever since the 2025 NFL season kicked off. However, the team seems to have found its mojo with the brilliant win against the New York Jets in Week 5. Next up, the Cowboys will be taking on the Carolina Panthers next Sunday. While Dallas will come to the matchup after destroying the Jets, the Panthers will come after winning against the Miami Dolphins.

The Dallas Cowboys have to be a lot more careful if they plan on adding another win to their season. The Cowboys team has struggled with roster changes and ground issues this season, which have been the major reasons for their struggles.

Jake Ferguson Injures Leg In Jets Game

On another note, Jake Ferguson seemed to have injured his left leg in the Week 5 matchup against the New York Jets. It happened in the fourth quarter of the game when the tight end was seen struggling to watch after hurting his left leg. While fans are strongly glued to their phones for any injury updates from the team, the Cowboys are yet to share anything about this particular injury.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys will be getting ready to lock horns with the Carolina Panthers in the next game. The Cowboys are anxious to add another win to their record after only two victories so far this season, with one tied game against the Green Bay Packers. The Panthers look pretty confident after winning against the Miami Dolphins and will use this momentum to swing another victory, this time against the Dallas Cowboys.
