Jaire Alexander, newly signed cornerback with the Baltimore Ravens, did not leave his former team, the Green Bay Packers, on a great note. Recently, Alexander’s father, Landis Alexander, appeared on the ‘Locked on Ravens’ show with Kevin Oestreicher, where he criticized the Packers for not giving his son a solid extension.
According to Landis Alexander, his son’s performance was definitely worth a contract extension with the Packers, which they refused to give. He also seemed to issue a warning to Packers for their upcoming season, now that Jaire Alexander is with the Baltimore Ravens.
“Green Bay let (Jaire) go when he was feeling his best. I promise you that he is in better condition that he’s been in since 2018. I’m saying everybody should be on notice.” Landis Alexander said about his son, Jaire Alexander, and the Green Bay Packers on ‘Locked on Ravens’.

However, it looks like Jaire Alexander will be thanking his lucky stars that the deal with the Packers did not go through. Alexander will be playing his very first season with the Baltimore Ravens in the 2025 NFL season. The young cornerback will definitely find a better fit with the Ravens when compared to his former team, the Green Bay Packers.
Jaire Alexander Was Vouched For By Ravens QB Lamar Jackson
Jaire Alexander was already an almost-Ravens even before he signed with the team. Some time back, Baltimore’s starting quarterback, Lamar Jackson, revealed that he has been asking the franchise to sign Alexander as their cornerback. It looks like Jackson’s words were taken seriously by the Baltimore management since Alexander is officially a Ravens as of now.

This will be Jaire Alexander’s second team in his NFL career which started off with the Green Bay Packers who bagged him in the first round of the 2018 draft. In the previous NFL season, the cornerback managed a total of 15 solo tackles and is expected to contribute widely to the Ravens performance in the upcoming season.

Apart from Jaire Alexander, Lamar Jackson was also responsible for another talented player cracking a deal with Baltimore. It was because of Jackson that wide receiver, Rashod Bateman, managed to get a contract extension with the Ravens. In a recent appearance on a talk show, Bateman revealed that he simply chose to stay with the Ravens because of quarterback Jackson. Bateman also confessed that Jackson promised him that his contract extension will be sealed one way or the other.
