The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost their quarterback for the rest of the season after the hit he suffered against the Houston Texans.
Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles was placed on injured reserve after he was knocked unconscious and concussed by Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, who was suspended for three weeks.
Now the 25-year-old quarterback is going to have to undergo surgery.
Breaking: Jaguars’ Trevor Lawrence Expected To Undergo Surgery
Just when you thought things couldn’t possibly get any worse, the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback needs to have surgery.
It has nothing to do with the head injury he suffered.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports that Trevor Lawrence is now slated to undergo surgery on his shoulder, which will end his 2024 campaign. Placing him on IR still had the door open for the dynamic quarterback to return in Week 18 to face the Indianapolis Colts, but now that has been shut.
Per Rapoport himself:
#Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence is expected to have surgery to repair his significant AC joint injury in his left shoulder in the coming weeks, sources say.
His season is over. Lawrence will make a full recovery for 2025.
