The Jacksonville Jaguars look to build on last season’s strong performance in pass protection while showing significant improvement in the running game and providing holes for running backs. The team currently has three of the five starting offensive line positions filled in, with two vacancies remaining. Highlighting one of the openings is at left guard, with two players in contention, including a rookie.
Jacksonville Jaguars selected a Big-12 star on Day 2

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected former West Virginia Mountaineers standout Wyatt Milum 89th overall in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He primarily played as an offensive tackle throughout his college career, including the last 35 games over his final three seasons at the left tackle position. Due to his relatively small 32 1/8-inch arms for an offensive tackle, many scouts and the coaching staff agreed he would be better suited to play as an interior offensive lineman, officially making the switch to left guard this offseason.
He will compete against Ezra Cleveland.

So far, Ezra Cleveland has received first-team reps during spring workouts, and Wyatt Milum has worked with the second-team offense. According to Michael DiRocco of ESPN, the veteran is currently the front-runner to start in Week 1. However, as DiRocco points out, the fact that Milum, who never played inside before and is still in the race, is an eye-opener and concerning for Cleveland.
“Milum started 43 games at left tackle for the Mountaineers and didn’t allow a sack in his final two seasons, but he projected as a guard in the NFL and the Jaguars are having him compete with Cleveland at left guard to be the starter,” DiRocco said.
“Cleveland certainly has the early edge but the fact that the Jaguars want him pushed by someone who did not play inside in college should put him on notice.”
