The Jacksonville Jaguars have had one of the league’s top punters ever since they added Logan Cooke in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Since then, he has punted for 22,188 yards along with an impressive 47.4 yards per punt, ranking fourth in punt yardage and seventh in yards per punt in that span, according to Statmuse. Cooke’s efforts have earned him one Pro Bowl and one Second-Team All-Pro selection.

Cooke had a solid 2024 campaign, tying for sixth in yards per punt and second in net average while having the third-lowest percentage of touchbacks and the highest percentage of punts inside the 20 of his career. He had 68 punts for 3,359 yards and 49.4 yards per punt, 3,048 net yards, and a 44.8 net punt average. Finally, the Pro Bowler also had three (4.4%) touchbacks and 54 (50%) punts inside the 20-yard line.

Logan Cooke enters the final year of his 4-year, $12 million deal, which he signed during the 2021 offseason. He is scheduled to earn a $2.87 million base salary, a $600,000 prorated signing bonus, a $50,000 workout bonus, a $400,000 bonus for making a Pro Bowl in 2024, and a $3.92 million cap hit in 2025. Cooke has the second-highest cap hit and is tied as the fourth-highest-paid punter based on APY.

On X, the Jaguars announced they had signed Logan Cooke to a long-term contract extension. The deal is for four years and is worth $16 million, making him the highest-paid punter in the NFL. As a result, Cooke will be under contract through the 2029 season.
