Jacksonville Jaguars Ink Key Midseason Acquisition With 3-Year Deal

The Jacksonville Jaguars struck gold in the NFL Trade Deadline, acquiring Jakobi Meyers from the Las Vegas Raiders for a 2026 fourth and sixth-round pick. Since then, the veteran receiver has become a reliable target for Trevor Lawrence, hauling in 27 receptions for 355 yards and three touchdowns across six games and four starts, averaging 4.5 receptions for 59 yards per game. Meyers is currently in the final year of his contract and is scheduled to hit free agency this offseason.

According to Adam Schefter, the Jaguars have inked Jakobi Meyers with a multi-year contract extension. The deal is for three years and is worth $60 million with $40 million guaranteed. As a result, Meyers, one of the top wide receiver free agents this offseason, is off the board, earning $20 million per year and under contract through the 2028 season.
